The clinical examples shown here are for the benefit of women who are considering undergoing breast reconstruction following mastectomy for the treatment of breast cancer, or women, who may have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and might be considering immediate breast reconstruction. Please understand that many women undergoing breast reconstruction chose not to undergo secondary procedures such as nipple reconstruction. The patients shown here have agreed to allow their images to be shown anonymously for the benefit of other women considering these procedures. For women who feel that their best option may be to undergo a breast reconstruction procedure performed in conjunction with a mastectomy, Dr. Ross can arrange contact with a suitably qualified breast surgeon. In most cases, breast reconstruction can be performed in combination with a mastectomy without compromising breast cancer treatment.
